Eduardo Castro e Costa

Eduardo Costa is a dedicated researcher in Design and Computation with a focus on the convergence of Computation and creative fields like Architecture and Design. His expertise includes generative design systems, parametric modeling, shape grammars, mass customization, digital fabrication, user interfaces, virtual reality, and 3D modeling. His strong programming and scripting skills have contributed significantly to his research.

Eduardo holds a Ph.D. in Architecture from the Pennsylvania State University where he specialized in Digital Design. His doctoral studies were financially supported by the Portuguese Foundation for Science and Technology through a Doctoral grant. He also pursued postgraduate studies in Design and Computation at the School of Architecture, University of Lisbon, and Architecture at both the master's and licentiate levels.

An accomplished researcher, Eduardo has actively participated in various projects, from integrating digital design methodologies into traditional architecture practices to developing innovative interfaces for architectural design utilizing multi-modal interaction techniques and immersive virtual reality environments.

His professional journey also includes stints as a Graduate Teaching Assistant, Researcher, and Architect at various organizations.
