Eduardo Oliveira

Eduardo Araujo Oliveira is a prominent Lecturer in Software Engineering at the University of Melbourne, where he also coordinates the Master of IT Distributed Computing program. Additionally, he serves as a Research Fellow at the Melbourne Graduate School of Education. With a strong academic background, Eduardo holds a Master's and Ph.D. in Computer Science from the Federal University of Pernambuco, along with a Bachelor's in Computer Science from the Catholic University of Pernambuco.

Eduardo's expertise lies in various fields within technology, including natural language processing, intelligent agents, learning analytics, machine learning, context-awareness, and prediction as applied to eLearning. Prior to his academic roles, he accumulated over a decade of industry experience as a Senior System Engineer and Technical Consultant at CESAR in Recife, Pernambuco, Brazil. His academic journey includes positions such as Postdoctoral Research Fellow, Associate Lecturer, and Coordinator of post-graduation courses. Notably, Eduardo has also been a Visiting Researcher at the Microsoft Research Centre for Social Natural User Interfaces.
