Iman Tantawy, a Water Resources Engineer, is on a mission to tackle water scarcity worldwide utilizing geospatial data. She is a passionate advocate of SDG 6.4, specializing in the MENA region with an expertise in the use of remote sensing data to monitor water-use efficiency in agriculture. With a Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering from the prestigious Technische Universiteit Delft, a Master's degree in Water Resource Management & Hydrology, and extensive experience in international affairs, policymaking, government and non-government relations, Iman is well-equipped to confront the challenges posed by water scarcity. She has worked as a Policy Officer at the Directorate-General for Water and Soil Affairs, as a Satellite Data & Development Advisor at Rijkswaterstaat and as a Consultant at both the NSO - Netherlands Space Office and Ministerie van Buitenlandse Zaken. Iman has also been an advocate for water issues through her involvement in student committees, including the Civil Company Days Committee at Het Gezelschap "Practische Studie" and as the Water for Now and Later Project at Stichting Kantara.
