With a background in musculoskeletal health, Edel made a significant shift from a clinical career to pursue a research path, showcasing dedication to advancing the field.

As an early career researcher, Edel has a strong record of accomplishments including scholarships, publications, and presentations, along with proficient skills in research and data management.

Edel's focus lies in understanding consumer reception of health information and exploring innovative approaches like leveraging social media and AI for better health outcomes.

Education-wise, Edel holds a Master of Science from UNSW Australia, a Post Graduate Certificate in Musculoskeletal Physiotherapy from the University of Otago, and a Bachelor's Degree in Physiotherapy from the Royal College of Surgeons.

Currently, Edel is pursuing a PhD at NeuRA (Neuroscience Research Australia) after holding roles at institutions like Northern Private Pain Centre, Bend + Mend, Concord Sports Medicine, and Cairn Physiotherapy.
