Eddy Kraus

Eddy Kraus is an accomplished individual who was elected Mayor in 2017, bringing with him a wealth of experience in government at the State, Municipal, and County levels.

With a background in Law Enforcement, Trials, Appeals, Municipal, Business, Commercial, and Criminal Law, Eddy Kraus is a skilled professional with a deep understanding of legal matters.

He holds a Juris Doctor degree in Law from Cleveland State University's Cleveland-Marshall College of Law, complemented by a Bachelor of Business Administration in Management Science from The Ohio State University in Columbus.

Eddy Kraus has also studied Business at Indiana University Bloomington, showcasing his commitment to continuous learning and professional development.

His professional journey includes serving as the Mayor of the City of Solon, where he actively engages with the community and drives social services initiatives.

Prior to his current role, Eddy Kraus held key positions such as Director of Strategic Partnerships/Regional Collaboration at Cuyahoga County- Office of the County Executive, Attorney at McDonald Hopkins, and Vice-Mayor at City of Solon.

He has also contributed his expertise as a Supervising Attorney at the Cuyahoga County Mortgage Fraud Task Force and as a Partner at Javitch, Block, and Rathbone.

Eddy Kraus is known for his strong leadership skills, legal acumen, and dedication to public service, making him a respected figure in both legal and governmental circles.
