Shauntel Garvey is an experienced edtech investor and advocate for educational access and opportunity. With a BS in Chemical Engineering from MIT and an MA in Education and MBA from Stanford, Garvey brings a unique blend of technical expertise and educational insight to her work. She is a co-founder and general partner at Reach Capital, an investment firm that provides support and funding to edtech startups working to address key issues in education. She has also served on the boards of several education-focused organizations, including Holberton School, Ellevation Education, and Tales2Go. Prior to her work at Reach Capital, Garvey was a partner and associate partner at NewSchools Venture Fund, as well as a senior engineer at Procter & Gamble. Through her work, Garvey has become highly respected within the education and technology communities, and continues to help drive innovation and progress in edtech.
