Yuan Mei
Yuan Mei is a highly accomplished molecular neuroscientist with broad-ranging experience in both academic and industry settings. After completing a B.A. in Cognitive Neuroscience from Rice University, Mei went on to earn a PhD in Molecular and Cellular Neuroscience from the internationally renowned Massachusetts Institute of Technology. Throughout their career, Mei has been an author on a number of high-impact publications, showcasing their expertise in molecular biology, genetic engineering, and assay development.
Mei has held positions as a postdoctoral research fellow at the University of California, San Diego-School of Medicine and as a Scientist at Denali Therapeutics and Alector LLC. In these roles, Mei has honed a collaborative leadership style and spearheaded projects focused on antibody and small molecule drug discovery.
In addition to their extensive experience in the lab, Mei is currently pursuing training in bioinformatics and machine learning. This additional training will provide Mei with even more tools for success as they continue to make an impact in the field of molecular neuroscience.
