Ed Morata is a seasoned professional who has built a successful career in Corporate & Investment Banking and Treasury operations across various geographies including Brazil, the UK, Asia, Spain, and the USA.
He has a strong background in setting up and managing wholesale banking operations, navigating challenging situations such as the 2008 global financial crisis which greatly influenced his management and decision-making styles.
Throughout his career, Ed has been involved in multiple mergers of financial institutions, spearheading initiatives such as institutional equity brokerage operations, asset management firm mergers, and wealth management business management.
His experience extends to roles such as Chief of Staff to the CEO of Santander USA, where he oversaw CSR activities before leading the Commercial Banking unit.
From 2013, he shifted his focus to the ESG / Sustainability arena, serving as Managing Director of the Perlmutter Institute and as a managing partner of an alternative investment boutique.
Ed's passion for impact-focused consultancy led to the co-founding of ForFuturing, where he advised corporate, financial, and institutional sectors on responsible and impact management strategies.
His involvement in environmental initiatives included the creation of funds for investing in carbon credits and fundraising for an esg-tech startup, where he also joined the Board of Directors.
Ed later took on the role of CEO at the Cambridge Family Enterprise Group, guiding the integration of sustainability practices and governance preparation for succession planning.
