As the Principal Product Manager for Cybersecurity, it was my responsibility for leading the development and strategic direction of Syntax's cybersecurity products. This includes identifying our customer needs, defining product requirements from the edge through to our Global ERP Systems (in the cloud and on-premises) and collaborating with cross-functional teams to bring new security products and features to market. 
Responsible for the complete product management lifecycle of all security solutions, executing go-to-market plans, business model canvases, SWOT analysis, market trends and competitive landscape to ensure our security offerings are competitive and exceed the needs of our customers. 
This global role leveraged my previous experience to accelerate our revenue working closely with sales, marketing, legal and customer support teams to ensure that our security products are well-positioned in the market and that our customers’ expectations were exceeded. Effectively this role showcased over a decade of adjacent product management experience in previous roles.
Primary point of contact for all external vendors supporting our security initiatives in Microsoft Azure, Amazon AWS, Oracle OCI and a proprietary VMWare “enterprise cloud” where we protected over 28,000 assets.
Extensive pre-sales, customer presentation and C-level engagement
Built exceptional relationships with our MSP partners, distribution and other partner organizations to provide increased value to the portfolio and customer expectations.
Developed marketing and video presentations for external and internal usage to showcase product line effectiveness to secure our existing and new client base using tier 1 security solutions.

I work with an amazing team across the world to provide senior level security advice and industry leading solutions to select Enterprise customers. I use my previous experience working with numerous firewall vendors, SIEM, cloud and private environments to bring educated recommendations and proven solutions to secure our clients’ networks and workloads. 
I started using the Check Point firewalls back with NG first came out, and am now completing my certifications for the current versions of Cloud and On-Premise appliances encompassing Check Point Infinity, which is the first modern consolidated cyber security architecture built to prevent sophisticated Gen V attacks across networks, cloud deployments, endpoints, mobile and IoT devices. 
This is not a support role, rather a consultative one.

Advising my clients on the best implementation of Check Point products, from our on-premise Quantum appliances, CloudGuard Security architecture and solutions, and Harmony which secures users and their equipment.

My experience of Azure allows me to work with our customers to adopt and implement a secure Cloud environment using our products, knowing the limitations of the Azure infrastructure, throttling and other cloud specific issues which can impact security for our clients. 
Consulting with clients on best practices for securing assets in their organization from VMWare hosts/VMs right through to connected edge devices and IoT.

Was part of an amazing group of technical professionals providing the expertise to install and configure a variety of high-end storage and server platforms for clients all over Canada. 
I spent much of my time on a datacenter cement floor installing and configuring our enterprise high end storage offerings, from the DELL Compellent storage, Nutanix XC Series, Dell servers / clusters through to all enterprise server and storage offerings. 
A technical expert for key technologies including Windows 2016, VMWare vSphere and ESX 6.X platforms. 
My experience placed me into a consultative role for many customers to integrate their systems and recommended internal strategies for C-level discussions.

The creative mind behind ROI-based marketing, working in coordination with the partners sales team to develop, drive, grow and expand sales through programs, MDF activities, joint promotions, and other opportunities to over $16M/Qtr.
Developed the business objectives and growth plans for my partners, driving marketing programs and initiatives proactively to increase their funnel base.

Since 2005 I ran a high-end enterprise level company which provided C-Level recommendations on infrastructure and application support to many clients across Canada. 
My experience with VMware, Hyper-V, Linux, Storage Area Network (SAN), Networking, Firewalls, Monitoring Tools and licensing was the value I brought to my clients. As some clients wanted to migrate to the cloud, I started my education on Amazon AWS and Microsoft Azure cloud services, so I could propose, design and implement hybrid or complete migrations from local on-premise virtual machines to the cloud back in 2015 once Canadian data centers were available.
I retired thatIT.guru to become a full-time part of the team at RICOH (GRAYCON) IT services where I used my experience to assist customers in a CTO/CIO consultative role. Graycon was purchased by RICOH in April 2020.I handled the implementation of public / hybrid cloud initiatives using Amazon Web Services (AWS) and Microsoft Azure.
Additional consultative roles were Virtual Networking & Integrations with on-premise and B2B connections, Compute/Storage management, Identity and Directory Services (AAD; AAD DS; AD DS), Consultative CTO for B2B integration, Consultative CIO for enterprise wide infrastructure and development CI/CD.

I was a part owner of the Vancouver based IT solution provider Microtek. With a staff of 50 people from sales to technical, we were the leading IT solutions provider in British Columbia. 
We were one of the few Novell network shops with exceptional skills in early Windows and Novell networking.
We sold this company to Velocity Computer Solutions (Voyus Canada) in 1998, and remained for 2 years to migrate clients to the new organization. 
The partnerships with Novell and Microsoft allowed Microtek/Voyus to properly promote their technology for medium SMB clients, encompassing messaging, clustering and fault tolerance.
My primary role was to run the business, support the sales team and internal staff in their growth and education via mentoring and last-level support during implementations.

Promoted into the Marketing Department as a technical Liaison to support the sales team in New York, Vancouver and Victoria.
