Echo Yao

Echo Wei Yao is a Commercial Specialist at ProChile based in Beijing, China. She has been in this role since September 2013, responsible for promoting trade, tourism, and investment between Chile and China.1 Her key responsibilities include:

1. Organizing and attending promotional events such as Chilean Wine Tasting and Food & Wine Chile
2. Arranging meetings between Chilean and Chinese government officials and companies
3. Coordinating with media for reports and interviews

• Assistant to the Ambassador at Embassy of the Republic of Macedonia in China (2008-2009)

Education and Skills

Echo holds a Bachelor's degree in Teaching Chinese as a Foreign Language from Beijing Language and Culture University. She is proficient in multiple languages:

• Mandarin (native)
• English (full professional proficiency)
• Spanish (limited working proficiency)

She also holds a TEM 8 (Test for English Majors-Band 8) certification from the China Ministry of Education.1
