Kenneth Poon

Kenneth Poon is a foresight practitioner at the Centre for Strategic Futures (CSF) involved in researching emerging trends and issues to aid the Singapore Government in navigating future challenges and identifying opportunities.

He collaborates with ministries and government agencies on various projects, focusing on understanding subtle shifts in operational environments and enhancing strategic foresight and scenario planning capabilities.

Kenneth engages with senior stakeholders through initiatives like the National Scenarios and the Strategic Futures Network, alongside building and sustaining relationships with a global network of thought leaders and foresight practitioners.

Benefiting from the strategic location of CSF within the government, he delves into Singapore's policy and governance landscape to anticipate how various forces may intersect to shape policies and fosters a deep curiosity about the future.

Kenneth's educational background includes a Master of Letters (M.Litt.) from the University of St Andrews and a Bachelor of Social Sciences from the National University of Singapore, where he also participated in exchange programs at Sciences Po in Europe-Asia.

In terms of professional experience, he has served as a Foresight Analyst at the Strategy Group within the Prime Minister's Office and was also formerly a Foresight Analyst at the Centre for Strategic Futures.
