Trudi Hilton is a prominent Thought Leader in Global Health Pharmacy with over 20 years of experience as a clinical pharmacist, Chief Pharmacist, and Project Manager in the UK's National Health Service. Hilton's expertise in the complex pharmaceutical supply chain has taken her to different countries in Africa, Asia, and the Middle East, where she has worked with UN agencies, research organizations, charities, and Ministries of Health to ensure reliable access to safe medicines.
Hilton is a passionate advocate for Medicines Optimization, which includes ensuring quality manufacturing, ethical clinical trials, effective procurement, appropriate storage and handling through to treatment guidelines, rational use, and medicines education for patients. She collaborates with pharmacists and pharmacy organizations worldwide to build resilience and optimize medicines use, including surge capacity in disasters. Hilton is also the Managing Director of TH PHARMACY CONSULTANCY LIMITED and a Pharmacy Consultant with Hera: Technical Monitor for DFID Malawi at the Department for International Development (DFID).
