Pet van de Luijtgaarden
Pet van de Luijtgaarden is a talented visual artist with extensive experience in e-commerce, law, and business intelligence. He studied Information Law at Universiteit van Amsterdam, Communication Science at Radboud University, and Photography at Royal Academy of Art, The Hague. Van de Luijtgaarden's mission is to raise awareness of overconsumption by creating artwork from large collections of secondhand items. He organizes an annual event to showcase his creations and stimulate public awareness. His fascination with objects and their value to people, coupled with his feeling of absurdity at the sheer quantities we accumulate, is evident in his work.
As a former teacher at Radboud University, Van de Luijtgaarden is a skilled motivator and engaged, driven individual. He is a talented artist who purchases complete collections of objects from Marktplaats to create colorful and thought-provoking installations for museums. If Andy Warhol were still alive, he would undoubtedly have praised and embraced his work.
