Richard Merrett is a certified Prince2 Practitioner, AWS Cloud Practitioner, conversational designer, and an innovator with expansive training, managerial, project-based, and organizational skills. With over a decade of experience, this successful entrepreneur has worked closely with many emerging voice technology companies to promote engagement with the technology. Merrett is an astute and resourceful communicator, conversational designer and public speaker who is skilled in conversation design, specifically focusing on SSML, making conversations sound more lifelike on voice interfaces. He is also experienced in identifying areas for innovation, implementing new programs, making split-second decisions to improve business outcomes and achieving top results.

Merrett earned his Bachelor of Laws (LLB), Second Class Honors, and later studied GTP, Secondary Education and Teaching in which he received an Outstanding degree. He has worked with several organizations, as co-founder and Head of Projects Voice Design and Voice Strategy at Veni Loqui, a Project Manager at Ethereality Associates, and PMO GDPR Readiness at ITV, where he has successfully managed and launched numerous SVOD services.

Richard's skills and experience have also been applicable in the academic space, where he worked as a Subject Leader Government and Politics, Citizenship and Global Citizenship at Pearson, as well as Head of Year 13, Teacher of ICT, Finance and Government and Politics at Stratton Upper School. He has also worked in other spaces such as business development, front office management, relief management, and even baking.
