Ilmari Hakkola
Ilmari Hakkola, a veteran of the game and media industry, has made significant contributions to the mobile gaming sector since 2000. Starting as a graphic artist, he expanded his expertise into music composing and video compositing during his tenure at Rovio, where he also founded Kombo, a production company that eventually merged with the gaming giant. Hakkola reunited with Rovio in 2011, taking on the role of Head of Audio, overseeing a team of eight audio professionals in creating unique audio content for Rovio's games and animations.
In 2019, Hakkola founded 4Good Games, a charity-focused casual games company, while still serving as a partner in Tonally, a games-focused audio production firm. He holds a BA in Multimedia from Lahti Polytechnic, Institute of Design, and an MA in Sound in New Media from Aalto University.
