Architect, providing and administering solutions for serving in-house and off-the-shelf applications running on a variety of clustered J2EE environments such as SAP Netweaver, WebLogic, Tomcat, and JBoss.  Examples of the types of off-the-shelf J2EE apps include SAP Netweaver, Vertex, and Big Memory Max.  These environments serve internal and external customers globally.  The environments are mostly Unix based and run in a variety of configurations from VMWare/RedHat Enterprise to Sun Solaris SPARC and x86.

In addition to J2EE servers, other key responsibilities are to administer the F5 load balancer cluster architecture/configurations/iRules, the Akamai CDN configurations, handling all corporate SSL certificates through Managed PKI with Symantec, Splunk log monitoring, Dynatrace Keynote monitoring, and analysis, and XebiaLabs XL-Release/XL-Deploy devops automation.

Being central to all of the mentioned components, I am frequently brought in to assist in diagnosis with a variety of problems throughout our IT department.  This includes enterprise wide log analysis in Splunk, extracting and logging information from HTTP transactions in the F5s, Java heapdump analysis with Eclipse MAT, and writing custom analysis tools mostly in PERL and Python.

Contract with Agere to develop web based silicon wafer manufacturing yield report system written in a mixture of R (a statistical programming language) and Perl.  The application would compile data from a variety of existing legacy systems to generate on-the-fly a customized PDF report.
