James Allan Hall is an accomplished data scientist with a wealth of experience in building predictive models and natural language processing (NLP). He has also taught Python and machine learning at UC Berkeley to keep up to date with the latest algorithms and help budding entrepreneurs tackle new challenges. He is currently employed as the Senior Data Scientist at Typeform, where he has spent the last two years honing his skills in programming and frameworks like Python, SQL, Hive, AWS, GCP, Excel, Scala, Spark, Airflow, Docker, and dbt. He is proficient in packages such as NumPy, Pandas, SparkNLP, SpaCy, Word2Vec, Tensorflow, Hadoop, and PyTorch, as well as data science techniques such as Bayesian Neural Nets, Reinforcement Learning, NLP, Clustering, Computer Vision, and Forecasting. James is also skilled in various data visualization tools such as Tableau, Bokeh, Segment, D3, Plotly, Data Studio, and Looker. He received a Bachelor of Arts (B.S.) in Chemistry from Indiana University Bloomington and completed a Business Analytics Certificate from The Wharton School. He is also a Fintech Instructor at University of California, Berkeley.
