David Sangokoya
David Sangokoya is a seasoned expert in civil society and social justice, leveraging his expertise to drive equity in social impact and technology. Raised in Baton Rouge, with a multicultural background, Sangokoya holds a BA Honors from Stanford University, an MPA in Global Nonprofit Innovation and Operations from New York University and studied at the University of Oxford. He currently serves as the Head of Civil Society and Social Justice at the World Economic Forum, where he previously held positions like Project Lead, Society and Innovation and Knowledge Lead, Society and Innovation. Before joining the Forum, he worked as a Research Manager at Data-Pop Alliance, Research Fellow at The Governance Lab, and Research Analyst at Stanford Institute for Economic Policy Research. Sangokoya has a strong history of community service and has contributed to several organizations in different capacities, including the board member at WINGS, Project Consultant at Kofi Annan Institute for Conflict Transformation, and Researcher at Building Markets. A passionate professional, Sangokoya's interests centre around social impact, social justice and technology.
