Dr. Oliver Massmann is a highly experienced commercial lawyer and international attorney at law, with an impressive career spanning over two decades in Vietnam and eight years in Myanmar. He earned his PhD in International Business Law and is also a certified financial accountant and auditor. Dr. Massmann is currently a partner at Duane Morris LLP and has been engaged by the European Commission and EU Delegation as a lead advisor in implementing the EU-Vietnam Free Trade Agreement for the next two years.

Dr. Massmann is fluent in Vietnamese and has taught law in Vietnamese language at the Ministry of Justice in Hanoi for over a decade. He is the only foreign lawyer member of the supervisory board of PetroVietnam JSC Holding Insurance Corporation, Vietnam's largest industrial insurer. Dr. Massmann is also a board member of the GBA and has expertise in the commercial and legal framework of the World Trade Organisation, compliance training, advising on turnkey renewable energy projects in Vietnam, international taxation, and setting up investment funds.

He has received several awards from the Ministry of Justice in Hanoi and is a four-time Leading Lawyer Vietnam for Mergers and Acquisitions by LEGAL 500. Dr. Massmann's special Vietnamese language skills and commercial negotiation expertise make him a valuable asset in advising clients and presenting international topics in Vietnamese to the Vietnamese Assembly. He is also an adjunct professor at the Foreign Trade University in Hanoi.
