Marshall Marcus is a highly accomplished and respected musician, academic, and educator, with experience and expertise in a range of areas within the classical music world. He has studied at some of the most prestigious institutions in the UK, including the University of Cambridge, the University of Oxford, and the Royal College of Music, and has since gone on to hold numerous leadership positions and make significant contributions to the field. Marcus has served as Chief Executive of the European Union Youth Orchestra, and has founded several organizations, including Sistema Africa and Sistema Europe, which aim to promote music education and community building through orchestral programs. He has also been an advisor and tutor for I Culture Eastern Partnership Orchestra and a leader in the Southbank Centre Sistema Research Programme. Additionally, Marcus has held positions as Head of Music at the Southbank Centre, Executive Director of the Endymion Ensemble, leader at the Orchestra of St. John's Smith Square, and member of the BBC Symphony Orchestra.
