Ted Slafsky

Ted Slafsky is a respected national expert and thought leader in the healthcare access and pharmaceutical pricing sectors. He has provided outstanding government relations consultancy services to businesses and non-profits looking to strengthen their position in the marketplace and improve health outcomes. Thanks to his strong ties to the hospital industry, he has worked with diverse clients, including global firms, start-ups, and non-profits. Ted's experience is vast and diverse, having served as the President/CEO of 340B Health, an association of hospitals participating in the federal 340B drug discount program, for over ten years.

While serving as the President/CEO of 340B Health, Ted grew the membership from 50 to over 1300 hospitals. He also started an innovative corporate partner program that includes over 60 companies, including some Fortune 100 firms. Ted Slafsky's successful leadership of his team of GR experts, attorneys, and pharmacists set the association's priorities and provided important compliance guidance to hospitals. He helped conceive and oversee various initiatives, including the blog 340B Informed, a member-only electronic news service, and the Drug Discount Monitor.

Ted has offered valuable insights on healthcare access and pharmaceutical pricing to several national news publications. As an op-ed contributor to publications such as USA Today, Health Affairs, STAT & The Hill, he has earned credibility as one of the nation's leading experts on pharmaceutical and healthcare matters impacting low-income and other vulnerable patients. Ted Slafsky has also been responsible for overseeing a number of conferences and meetings aimed at improving access to pharmaceutical care and ensuring compliance with drug pricing laws. These conferences have grown from less than 100 attendees to more than 1500 per event.

Before his impressive leadership of 340B Health, Ted worked as a Reporter-Researcher at U.S. News and World Report, providing editorial assistance to David Gergen, Editor-at-Large, and advisor to four U.S. presidents. He wrote and researched articles on health, education and other policy areas. Ted is a Health Policy Fellow in the U.S. Senate, studying for a Master of Public Policy, with a Concentration in Health Policy at Duke University and earning a Bachelor's degree, Political Science, Magna Cum Laude at Tufts University.
