David Guston
David Guston is a political science scholar with a focus on emerging technologies and responsible innovation. He earned a Bachelor of Arts degree from Yale University and went on to study at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology where he completed a PhD in political science. Guston held several positions at Arizona State University, including Foundation Professor and Director of the School for the Future of Innovation in Society, co-Director, and Associate Vice Provost for Discovery, Engagement and Outcomes, Global Futures Laboratory. He has also served as Editor-in-Chief of the Journal of Responsible Innovation and on the executive committee of the Society for the Study of Nanoscience and Emerging Technologies. Guston's research expertise includes nanotechnology, emerging technologies, responsible innovation, and political science.
