Myong Kim
Myong Kim is a highly driven mechanical engineer and researcher with a biomedical engineering background. With a focus on optimization, data accumulation, process planning, and automation, Kim brings a wealth of expertise and experience to their work. Kim studied Biomedical/Medical Engineering at Georgia Institute of Technology, earning a Bachelor of Applied Science (B.A.Sc.) degree, followed by a Master's degree in Mechanical Engineering, where they maintained a 4.0/4.0 GPA.
Prior to their current position as a PHD student at Georgia Institute of Technology, Kim served as an Assistant Research Engineer at Asan Medical Center (AMC) and a Research Technologist at St. Jude Children's Research Hospital. Through these experiences, Kim has developed a keen understanding of 3D printing, specifically in metal printing processes (SS316, IN625, CM64, Rene80). This understanding has led Kim to focus on optimization for part qualification and high through-put data accumulation.
Overall, Myong Kim's combination of mechanical engineering and biomedical engineering expertise, coupled with a strong focus on process optimization, sets them apart as a valuable contributor to any project.
