I serve on the inaugural board of this non-profit organization which enables low income individuals throughout the SF Bay Area  to achieve their educational and career-oriented ambitions. I chair their marketing committee and hope to use my expertise to assist them in expanding their marketing strategies and capabilities.

I work to effectively communicate the programs and exhibitions at this non-profit theater company, while expanding their audience. My duties include: crafting of text and visual content on their website and email campaigns, maintaining the website, layout and composition of printed materials, implementation of marketing campaigns within a given marketing budget, and scouting and establishing attendance driving marketing promotions with outside partners.

I've been volunteering my time at this non-profit developing professional marketing materials and doing event promotion for their fundraising activities. Specifically, I've written copy and developed graphic materials for their website, social media and event calendars, designed flyers for both electronic and printed distribution, and worked with their executive director, boards members, volunteers, and external partners to insure their marketing message is professional, effective, and well-executed.

During my tenure at the California Academy of Sciences, I was involved in re-opening and completely re-branding a major cultural institution.  I was responsible in a wide variety of marketing activities: executing attendance-driving initiatives, developing on-floor collateral, developing and executing advertising campaigns and media buys with outside advertising agencies, developing marketing language, and event promotion.  One of my key accounts was a successful weekly event, entitled NightLife, that combined entertainment and museum content and was attended by 2500+ people average per week.

I provided high-level administrative support the Chief Marketing Officer (Blair Shane).  My duties include maintaining executive calendars, scheduling high-level meetings with both internal and external partners, record keeping, scheduling travel, and designing professional quality business presentations (on Power Point).  After assisting in a number of marketing initiatives, I was given a position on that team.

Administrative Assistant (Marketing)

I supported two of the department's design directors, handling high-level administrative needs: daily scheduling, booking travel, expenses, filing, communications, and budget tracking.    I also supported the design team (app. 15 people) as a whole with administrative needs.  I developed professional meeting materials with heavy emphasis on aesthetics and creative presentation, including: assembling photographic materials, writing copy, and creative use of meeting space and materials.  As my tenure there progressed, I supported the design functions of the department, including designing conceptual storyboards for seasonal clothing lines, trend research on print and online, and assessment of competitor's product bought in-channel.

Administrative Assistant (Clothing Design)

I was part of a team responsible for seeding product to prominent figures in the music industry.  A major component of this was conceptualizing, stocking and implementing creative on-site product placement venues (i.e swag rooms) associated with various entertainment industry events, including the MTV Video Music Awards, Sundance, and South-by-Southwest.  In this role, I communicated extensively with various counterparts at external agencies, including management companies, record companies, booking agencies, and media partners.  My department would often partner with other agencies for events and product tie-ins.  My duties also included maintaining our in-house supply of product seeding stock, in accordance with a seasonal budget, and scanning TV, print, and online media to track return on investment.
