Arcadia aggregates multi-source healthcare data to support clients in managing patient populations, allowing care networks and providers to track and manage patient populations using data from Insurance and Clinical sources.•	As a backend engineer, work on the platform ETL, persistence, and calculation layers•	Implement feature improvements and bug fixes•	Ensure scalability and performance in new and existing code •	Unit test new software additions•	Plan and implement new features using an Agile development process•	Assist QA in investigating bugs and developing test cases•	Primary platform tools: SQL Server, SSIS, Ruby, C#, Git

KCC uses its unique approach to Catastrophe Modeling and belief in transparent software assumptions to provide accurate and verifiable loss estimates for Hurricane, Storm Surge, Earthquake, and Convective Storm perils.● Conduct ad hoc analysis and lay the groundwork for more structured approaches● Maintain several databases of insurance industry economic exposure● Provide robust code to meet the needs of KCC and our clients● Develop and expand a framework for calculating damage rates to relate hazard intensity to material loss● Prepare clear, informative visualizations for qualitative analysis and presentations● Validate expert intensity footprints using publicly available and proprietary data● Support our experts in the development of stochastic and characteristic models for Tropical Cyclone, Storm Surge, and Earthquake hazards● Leverage a variety of software packages to support the above roles, including:	- <a href="http://C#/.Net">C#/.Net</a>	- SQL Server	- C++	- CUDA/Parallel Computing	- R Statistics Language	- GIS (ESRI/ArcGIS, QGIS)	- Excel/VBA	- Python● Sample Projects:	- Decrease windstorm footprint generation time from minutes to seconds using GPGPU based code (C++ Amp/CUDA)	- Develop and maintain databases of insurance industry economic exposure	- Develop a framework for calculating damage rates relating hazard intensity to property loss	- Validate expert windstorm footprints using public and proprietary data	- Create a program to manipulate historical tropical cyclone tracks	- Develop characteristic storm events using historical track data
