Margaret Salamon is a renowned clinical psychologist turned climate activist who has dedicated her career to spreading awareness about the dangers of climate change. With a Bachelor's degree in Social Anthropology from Harvard University and a Doctorate in Clinical Psychology from Adelphi University, she is an expert in the field of psychology and uses her knowledge to help individuals process their emotional response to climate change and turn that pain into action. Salamon is the Founder and Principal at Climate Awakening and has previously served as the President of the Board of Directors at The Climate Mobilization. She is also the author of "Facing the Climate Emergency: How to Transform Yourself with Climate Truth," which provides readers with tools to process their fear, grief, and pain and use them as motivation to fight climate change. Her project Climate Awakening aims to unleash the power of climate emotions through thousands of small-group conversations. With her expertise and passion, Salamon has been a driving force in the worldwide adoption of the Climate Emergency/Climate Mobilization paradigm, which has resulted in more than 1800 climate emergency declarations being passed globally.
