Procurement Counsel

- Responsible for drafting, reviewing, and negotiating agreements for all indirect spend activities relating Information Technology, including Master Independent Contractor Agreements, Software Licensing & Support Agreements, and Hosting Agreements. • Provides advanced analysis and advice on contract risks and negotiations to the Procurement team and business units on strategic engagements.• Manages all procurement activities in support of the Information Technology, Business Continuity, and Audit Departments.• Responsible for the continued development, implementation, and training on corporate policies related to Procurement and other corporate services to ensure such policies advance the organization's values and strategies.

Sr. Procurement Manager

- Managed all procurement activities in support of the Information Technology Department.  Strategic projects, in the last year, included negotiating a pair of Independent Contractor Agreements and related Statements of work for consulting services with offshore organizations (totaling an estimated $2MIL spend), a Software License Agreement & Support Agreement (totaling over $400k) for archive and data compression software, and an Escrow Agreement for strategic software.• Completed indirect spend transactions totaling over $20MIL for Tech Data’s FY’12 (in support of the IT and Logistics organizations).• Designed and implemented a contract warehouse system, utilizing a third party application, in order to improve visibility and management of contract terms and renewals.• Drafted and negotiated an off-shore independent contractor agreement in coordination with outside counsel, the Legal Department, and Information Technology Department that provides both business and legal protections to the organization.• Acted as advisor on contract risks and negotiations to the Procurement team and business units on a wide variety of transactional agreements, including Services Agreements, Recruiting Agreements, and Sponsorship Agreements.• Developed a European Procurement Policy in order to align overseas entities with corporate strategies and objectives.• Accountable for the daily activities and the strategic operations of the Corporate Procurement team dedicated to: non-inventory procurement of capital and expense items for the entire organization totaling over $32MIL in spend in FY’12; management of the organization’s Financial Card Programs; and Promotional Purchasing.

- Managed the procurement process for approximately $13MIL in annual spend volume for Information Technology, Human Resources, and Loss Prevention products and services.• Responsible for drafting, reviewing, analyzing and negotiating Information Technology agreements, including Software License Agreements, Services and Support Agreements, and Independent Contractor Agreements.• Acted as an advisor and mentor on contractual issues for the Procurement Department and other client groups.• Assessed the operations of the promotional procurement team and formulated new policies and strategies to improve the overall effectiveness and efficiency.• Managed personnel activities including interviewing, hiring, training and evaluating team member’s performance to ensure high quality staffing and employee development.• Coached and mentored team members to ensure corporate values and the highest ethical standards were demonstrated when interacting with internal and external customers.
