Onur Cobanoglu is an accomplished Amazon Applied Scientist with a remarkable background in Research and Engineering. He possesses a deep interest in Machine Learning Engineering and has specialties in Natural Language Processing, Machine Learning, and Distributed Systems. A graduate of the University of Pittsburgh, he obtained a Ph.D. in Computer Science and an M.S. in Computer Engineering from Orta Doğu Teknik Üniversitesi. He also holds a B.S. in Computer Engineering from the same institution. Onur started his career as a Software Engineering Intern at KocSistem before proceeding to Aselsan, where he served as a Software Engineering Intern. At the University of Pittsburgh, he worked as a Software Teaching Assistant and later as a Graduate Student Researcher. He then transitioned to Microsoft, where he served in different capacities as a Software Development Engineer, and finally as a Software Development Engineer 2. Subsequently, he joined Amazon as a Software Development Engineer 2 before pivoting to his present role as an Applied Scientist.
