Barbara Acevedo Visser is a certified professional co-active coach (CPCC) and Associate Certified Coach (ACC) at Expanded Focus LLC. With a Bachelor's degree in English with Writing Emphasis and minors in Communication and Sociology from Whitworth University, she also studied childbirth education at Bastyr University's Simkin Center for Allied Birth Vocations. Barbara thrives on helping mid-career professionals and working parents navigate changes, gain clarity, increase self-confidence, and make empowered choices. Her coaching skills combined with her strong operational background in communication and program management, make her an expert in employee engagement, change management, and executive communications. Throughout her career, she has delivered strong results through effective collaboration, problem-solving, and strategic thinking in the high-tech corporate industry, with extensive experience working with diverse, distributed, and virtual teams in global organizations. She is also passionate about supporting families through specialized prenatal and postpartum coaching, childbirth education, and occasional doula duty. With a certification in progress through the International Childbirth Educators Association, Barbara is currently the Director of Professional Community Partnerships on the Board for the Washington State Chapter of the International Coaching Federation.
