Eric Yuan is the Founder & CEO of Zoom, a video communications platform that has become increasingly popular for video conferencing and remote work in recent years. Born in China, Yuan initially worked at WebEx Communications before becoming the Vice President of Engineering at Cisco. After realizing the limitations of traditional video conferencing tools, he left Cisco in 2011 to create Zoom with the goal of simplifying video communication and making virtual meetings more productive. Yuan is a graduate of Stanford University's Graduate School of Business and received a degree in Business Administration from Stanford.
Throughout his career, Yuan has focused heavily on technology and engineering, developing skills in software design and multimedia technologies. As CEO of Zoom, he has also developed a keen business acumen, using his expertise in strategic planning and leadership to grow the company into a major player in the video conferencing industry. His interest in improving virtual meetings and creating better avenues for remote work has led him to become a thought leader in the space, with a particular focus on improving user experience and user engagement.
