Ali Tamaseb is an accomplished executive and investor with notable achievements in various organizations. He earned his Bachelor of Science degree in Electrical Engineering and Computer Science from Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT). He later pursued his Master of Engineering and Doctor of Philosophy (Ph.D.) degrees at MIT, where he conducted research in management, transportation, and logistics. Tamaseb also holds a Master of Business Administration (M.B.A) with honors from The University of Chicago Booth School of Business.
Tamaseb has worked as a research assistant and instructor at MIT School of Engineering, MIT Center for Transportation & Logistics, and MIT Sloan School of Management. He has also held positions at renowned management consulting firms, including The Boston Consulting Group and A.T. Kearney. As an investor, Tamaseb previously worked at B Capital Group before joining Data Collective (DCVC) and Foundation Capital, where he provided capital and guidance to innovative startups.
Currently, Tamaseb is serving as the Vice President of DHVC (Danhua Capital), a leading venture capital firm that invests in early-stage companies in the United States and China. With his extensive educational background and experience in research, management consulting, and venture capital, Tamaseb brings a wealth of knowledge to startups in various sectors.
