Lauri Väin is a highly experienced technologist with a wide-angle view on the world. He is an expert in building complex systems for maximal effect, even in scenarios with major constraints, using his expertise in technology, product analytics, software, and hardware engineering. Lauri has worked on projects like highly available real-time systems, security solutions, storage of online operational data, bulletproof third-party APIs, high volume streaming, and financial applications with regulatory restrictions. He also has multiple years of experience in the field of physical robot rover swarms, mechatronics and composites, production techniques, and aerodynamics.

Lauri has studied at Tallinna Tehnikaülikool and has worked at various organizations, including Sabbatical, Team Kuukulgur (NASA's Centennial Challenge participant), Microsoft, Teeme Ära 2008, Joltid AB, Estonian Loghouse Construction Ltd, Ericsson Estonia, and Tharapita Ltd.
