Charles Weber is an accomplished professional from the high technology industry who now analyzes and teaches about this industry as an academic. He holds a Bachelor's degree in Engineering Physics from the University of Colorado Boulder, a Master's in Electrical Engineering and Computer Science from the University of California, Davis, and has studied at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology's Sloan School of Management, where he earned degrees in Management and Management of Technology, and a Ph.D. in Management. Weber has also worked for Hewlett-Packard as a Member of Technical Staff and for SEMATECH as a Project Manager.

Currently, Weber serves as an Associate Professor of Engineering and Technology Management at Portland State University and has previously held positions as an Assistant Professor of Engineering and Technology Management there, as well as serving as a Visiting Professor Fulbright/Hall Distinguished Chair at WU (Vienna University of Economics and Business). Additionally, Weber has served as an Awards Director at PICMET.

With a focus on profitability analysis, value of ownership models, user-supplier relations, organizational learning, and applied epistemology, Weber brings a unique perspective to the high-tech industry. He has published numerous articles on these topics and has shared his insights at conferences and workshops around the world.
