Amrish Shah is a passionate environmental sustainability consultant with extensive experience in sustainable urban development. He is a leading protagonist of the green building movement in Kenya, has worked on numerous certifications for commercial offices, residential complexes, hospitality, warehousing, light industry, healthcare, and master plans. Amrish has worked as an environmental consultant with large mining and construction companies, providing him with extensive experience working on projects involving sustainable construction, environmental impact assessments, land rehabilitation, contaminated site assessments, environmental and development approvals, and environmental monitoring in a diverse range of sectors.

Amrish is a qualified LEED GA, Green Star AP, EDGE Expert, and EDGE Auditor. He is the Founding Director of Urban Green Consultants, a company engaged in various green building design and certification projects across East Africa and beyond. He also serves on the board of directors of the Kenya Green Building Society as its Board Secretary. His role involves leading the transformation of Kenya's property industry into environmental sustainability, helping the public and private sectors combat climate change, and ensuring that all buildings are environmentally sustainable for healthy, efficient and productive environments.

Amrish achieved a Master of Environmental Management in Sustainable Development with Dean's Commendation for High Achievement at The University of Queensland and a Bachelor of Business & Commerce in Economics and Management at Monash University.
