Alexandra Watson is a highly accomplished writer and editor with a passion for literature and community arts programs. Holding a Bachelor's degree in English from Brown University and an MFA in Creative Writing from Columbia University, she has built an impressive resume working with a range of organizations in the literary world. Watson has worked as a Lecturer in the English department at Barnard College and as the Assistant Director of Writing Instruction at Leadership Enterprise for a Diverse America (LEDA). She also served as the Executive Editor for Apogee Journal, where she secured grant funding for community arts programs. Watson has experience teaching writing at various institutions, including Columbia University, and has interned at Penguin Group USA and Lucinda Blumenfeld Literary Consulting. She has also worked as a program coordinator at the Institute for the Study of Human Rights and as a tutor at BearPaw Tutors LLC.
Her writing has been published in various literary magazines, including Nat. Brut., Redivider, PANK, Lit Hub, and Apogee Online. Watson has been recognized for her contributions to literary magazine editing with the PEN/Nora Magid Prize. She is currently working on a novel.
