David Tafuri is a seasoned international lawyer, writer, and foreign policy contributor who has built an impressive professional career dedicated to legal work in emerging democracies. He is currently an equity partner at Dentons and also serves as the Chair of the firm's Emerging Democracies practice, focusing on legal work in conflict and post-conflict countries across the Middle East, Africa, South Asia, and Latin America. Tafuri has extensive expertise in public international law, policy and political issues, economic development, and investment, and he frequently travels worldwide to advise on these matters. He is additionally the President of the US-Kurdistan Business Council and a former Board Member of USA for UNHCR, the UN Refugee Organization. He has also worked for UNHCR in Turkey, two Presidential campaigns in the U.S., and even for the U.S. Department of State in the US Embassy in Baghdad.
