Simon Maple is an experienced Developer Advocate with a passion for creating engaging communities and generating excitement about Java technologies. He studied Computer Science with Honors at the University of Reading and has since established himself as a leader in the field. Simon has worked for some of the top tech companies, including IBM and ZeroTurnaround before becoming the VP of Developer Relations and Community at Snyk.
Simon's experience has enabled him to be flexible when working with developers, management, customers, sales, marketing, and engineering teams, bringing value to every team he works with. In addition, Simon is a JUG leader with the London Java Community, where he has been responsible for organizing its annual open conference. His passion for creating fun videos and promotional content to widen the outreach of Java technologies has led him to become a Java Champion, an elite group of Java advocates.
