Colin Beirne, a seasoned investment professional, is currently serving as a Partner at Two Sigma Ventures, an early-stage venture capital firm. He completed his BA in Economics and Law, Jurisprudence & Social Thought from Amherst College. Branson alumnus, he brings an extensive background in business strategy, private markets investing, and investment banking. Before joining Two Sigma Ventures, Colin worked in Lehman Brothers’ Global Technology Group as an Investment Banking Analyst and later, as an Associate in Corporate Strategy. He also served as Treasurer on the Board of Directors for Harlem Prep Charter School at Democracy Prep Public Schools.

In Two Sigma Ventures, Colin is responsible for identifying, selecting, and supporting entrepreneurs who leverage data science in diverse areas such as AI, fintech, health tech, and consumer internet. As a part of Two Sigma, he is closely involved in exploring innovative ways to improve the investment management process, making the most of the company’s advanced technology capabilities.
