Eric Hansen is a well-regarded principal-level engineer and system architect, with a wealth of experience in device-level, system-level, and middleware development, algorithm design and implementation, and modeling. He is acknowledged as a prominent figure in the fields of hardware-software interfaces and systems engineering for microprocessors, sensors, microcontrollers, and FPGAs. Holding a degree in computer engineering from San Jose State University, Hansen went onto study an MS in applied mathematics from Santa Clara University.

He has also worked as a consultant or engineer for several high-profile corporations such as Lam Research, Kitty Hawk, and Lockheed Martin Space Systems.
