Alexis Mauel
Alexis Mauel is a Child Life Specialist ll, with a background in communication studies, who has worked in notable organizations such as Community Medical Centers, Children's Hospital Los Angeles, Elizabeth Seton Pediatric Center, and New York Presbyterian Hospital. Alexis studied at Bank Street College of Education, where she earned a Master's degree in Child Life. She also completed a Bachelor's degree in Communication Studies at the University of San Francisco, where she gained a passion for working with children.
Alexis has been immersed in the child life industry for several years, starting as a Child Life Practicum Student and Volunteer at UCSF Benioff Children's Hospital. She also volunteered at Sub-Acute Saratoga Children's Hospital and served as a San Francisco Coordinator for the Scald Prevention Campaign at the Alisa Ann Ruch Burn Foundation. She has also held various positions at Design Reactor, The Arnone Group, and Via Services, Inc.
Throughout her career, Alexis has honed her skills in helping children and their families cope with challenging experiences, particularly in the healthcare environment. She has excellent communication skills and the ability to create a positive environment that encourages children to express themselves freely. In addition, she is proficient in project management, account coordination, and marketing strategies.
