Steve Scott, a distinguished professional with over three decades of experience in the operations and research and development (R&D) sectors, currently serves as the Divisional Vice President Worldwide Operations at Abbott Diabetes Care. His extensive leadership experience in diverse industries, including operations, clinical and quality, straddles the entrepreneurial start-up phase as well as the profitable global phase. His remarkable contribution to the growth of Abbott includes leading the development of over 25 successful product launches in the diabetes space.

Steve completed his Bachelor's Degree with a 2.1 in Chemistry from the prestigious University of Aberdeen. He started his career as a Project Scientist at MediSense Inc, where he worked his way up the ranks to become the Manufacturing Manager, Process Development Manager, Research and Development Director, and ultimately the Divisional Vice President Research and Development, ADD Medisense Products at Abbott.

His impressive professional journey also includes his tenure as a Research Director and Research and Development Director at Abbott, where he demonstrated excellent skills in technical operations, research, and development. Before joining Abbott, Steve worked as a Scientist at the UK Ministry of Defence, Atomic Weapons Research Establishment (AWRE) at Aldermaston.
