Jahan Sagafi is a highly accomplished attorney and partner-in-charge of the San Francisco office of Outten & Golden LLP. With a passion for justice and equality, Jahan specializes in employment class actions, fighting against discrimination, wage and hour abuses, Fair Credit Reporting Act violations, and other types of exploitation. He boasts an impressive track record that includes winning a jury trial for a nationwide class of approximately 1,000 technical support workers, an en banc appeal in the Ninth Circuit, and many settlements to recover backpay for overtime compensation, discriminatory pay and promotion gaps, vacation benefits, meal and rest breaks, and more.

Jahan is a highly active participant in legal communities throughout the San Francisco Bay Area, California, and beyond, having served on numerous boards. He is a current board member of the national nonprofit Alliance for Justice and a former Advisory Board Member of the American Constitution Society. A former Governor of the board of nonprofit Public Advocates, Jahan has also held prominent leadership positions in the Bar Association of San Francisco (BASF) Judicial Evaluations Committee, the ACLU of Northern California, the California Bar Litigation Section, and the San Francisco ACS chapter's Board of Directors. Beyond his impressive legal career, Jahan has a diverse educational background that includes his high school education at Friends School, a summer program at Research Science Institute, and a B.A. in Social Studies from Harvard College. He went on to study law, graduating from Harvard Law School. Jahan's professional background also includes serving as a math teacher at Saint Ann's, a consultant at SCA Consulting, a Paradina Harvard Fellow at Stowe School, and a summer associate at McKinsey & Co., Heller Ehrman White & McAuliffe LLP, and Lieff Cabraser Heimann & Bernstein.
