He has held executive positions in well-funded startups, advertising agencies, and media companies such as IDG, the world's largest technology media company, where he served as VP International Sales for EMEA, US, and APAC.
Harmer's record in strategic planning, sales growth, business development, and operations management has contributed to numerous start-up and turnaround successes across various industries. He is known for his ability to lead, motivate and create cross-functional teams and comfortable engaging with executive audiences, public speaking, and complex contract negotiations.
Harmer is a co-founder and director of several technology start-ups, including MobileHandshake and Mobiquitous, and has served as VP US Sales at NetMediaEurope, co-founder and COO of iCoupon Center, and VP Global Business Development at The Register.
