Johnie Lee, a seasoned engineer and corporate leader, is currently building Uber Cash, a Financial Products vision, at the ride-hailing giant, Uber. Lee aims to help the world's unbanked population gain better access to the digital economy by digitizing physical cash, providing them with a smarter and safer way to manage their finances. The project requires passionate and skilled people in iOS/Android/Backend engineering, and Lee invites anyone interested in making a significant impact globally to join the team based in Palo Alto and San Francisco.
Before his current role, Lee was Green Cow Venture Capital's VentureAdvisor for FinTech, where he advised and assisted startups to transform the financial industry through technology. Prior to that, Lee spent his career developing and implementing technology-based financial products at Google and building trading technology for Wall Street. Lee obtained his BS in Computer Science from Columbia University and his Master of Business Administration from the University of Pennsylvania's The Wharton School, where he concentrated on entrepreneurship and management.
