Kevin Denney is a highly accomplished law enforcement professional with over two decades of experience in various roles including undercover narcotics, patrol, criminal investigations, community services, and personnel. He grew up on a ranch in central Texas and graduated from Texas A&M University with a Bachelor's degree in Sociology. Kevin has earned two Master's degrees, in Criminal Justice and Public Administration, and is currently enrolled in the first PhD Criminal Justice cohort at Tarleton State University.
Kevin has served as the Chief of Police for two different Texas law enforcement agencies, including the Red Oak ISD Police Department and the City of Jarrell. He has implemented numerous programs to better serve the community, such as nationally certified Rape Aggression Defense (RAD), TXDOT child car seat inspections, police explorer program, mentorship involvement, and more. As a researcher in at-risk and marginalized student issues, Kevin is committed to evidence-based policing strategies that help strengthen the bond between law enforcement and their communities.
In his personal time, Kevin enjoys spending time with his family, training for triathlons, and working outside.
