Responsible for providing a best in class self serve onboarding journey for Yoyos customers. Incorporating business information and KYC across the whole range of Yoyo products. Building an API framework to configure Yoyo customers on our platform as a basis for real time onboarding and servicing.

Working as Product Manager responsible for Worldpays customer self sign up, automated due diligence and KYC checks and automated onboarding and fulfillment. Focusing on customer experience during the onboarding journey my role includes adapting the risk approach to customer sign up as well as the rapid delivery of products to the customer. Supporting the Worldpay SMB proposition to create a market leading experience.

I undertook the product owner role for a diverse range of Operations functions within our New Acquiring Platform CRM system. I was responsible for prioritising new features alongside defects within a challenging timetable of release events and platform migrations. Areas spread across the whole customer lifecycle with Worldpay. I provided SME resource for customer migration across platforms to both technology and business teams for 6 migration events.I was responsible for the first automated loading of customer data into the new platform directly from Sales.

Project Analyst

A 50 week Industrial Placement at Dstl Porton Down near Salisbury. During my year placement at Dstl I worked on a project investigating the effects of Matrix Metalloproteinases (MMPs) on how bacteria cross the lung epithelial membrane during infection. The work centred around two bacteria that are considered as aerosol biothreat agents by the MoD. As well as normal adherent cell culture I gained experience in 3D rotating-wall-vessel cell culture as this was used to provide another model for study. I used cell culture inserts with a permeable membrane basal layer to allow assessment of the integrity of an epithelial cell layer in response to infection. I tested the effect of a range of MMP inhibitors on epithelial integrity, using the passage of a FITC-Dextran molecule as well as the bacteria itself as indicators of degradation in response to infection. During the year I developed significant bacterial handling and culture skills, as well as building on existing cell culture knowledge. After a familiarisation period I performed the majority of my work alone, reporting back to my supervisor on a bi/weekly basis to discuss progress and where the project was going, as well as presenting more detailed presentations to the team/department on a less frequent basis. I developed my presentation and reporting skills a lot over this year, as well as my ability to work with a variety of people both at my level and above, helping on a couple of other projects and getting help and advice from others on my project. I gained valuable experience in what it is like to work in a research facility full time and the necessities of planning ahead to ensure work continues smoothly and efficiently.

2 months of practical work in a University of Cambridge microbiology lab based at Addenbrookes Hospital. I continued and managed a project looking into the effect of gene knockouts on Death Receptors in cardiovascular tissue, in conjunction with cytokine signalling pathways associated with apoptosis. I gained experience in cell culture and western blotting, including results analysis.
