Syed Abu Sufian

Syed Abu Sufian is a seasoned professional with over 14 years of experience in project monitoring and results measurement system. He specializes in M&E manual development, results chain, result measurement techniques, and MRM plan with exceptional report writing skills. He is well-versed in DCED standards for result measurement and has a strong background in market development and private sector projects. Syed excels in project development, management, and facilitation using the M4P framework. He has excellent communication and coordination abilities with various stakeholders, including governmental and non-governmental agencies as well as the private sector. Syed has significant experience in skills development and poverty reduction initiatives.

Syed Abu Sufian pursued a Master of Business Administration (MBA) with a specialization in Finance from the Institute of Business Administration, University of Dhaka, and a Bachelor of Social Science in Economics from the Department of Economics, University of Dhaka, Bangladesh. Additionally, he attended the Management Development Programme at the Asian Institute of Management.

With a rich professional history, Syed Abu Sufian has held key positions in reputable organizations. He served as the Monitoring, Evaluation, and Learning Lead at DFID-PROKAS Programme within the British Council. He previously worked as the Regional Manager for Knowledge & Results at The Wood Foundation, Monitoring & Evaluation Advisor for Green Growth at Adam Smith International, and Strategic Advisor at Innovision Consulting Private Ltd. Syed also held roles such as Manager for Monitoring and Results Measurement for ENABLE2, M&E Adviser for the Youth Employment Project, Deputy Team Leader for ENABLE, and Manager for Monitoring & Evaluation for M4C at various organizations. He was a National Consultant for the TVET Reform project at the International Labour Organization (ILO) and a Senior Business Consultant at Swisscontact-Katalyst.
