The 12 Steps for Living Free program was created and developed by Ed Helvey. The program is designed to assist individuals to break out of self-imposed prisons. It assists each person in discovering who he or she really is, what his or her real dreams and desires are in life and how to make the preparations and choices to truly live free, live the life they desire and ultimately find the happiness he or she has been seeking. The program is based on the personal life experiences of a number of individuals who have made transitions to living free and have chosen this alternative, non-conforming life path. There is currently an active blog at <a href="http://www.livingandworkingfree.com">www.livingandworkingfree.com</a> and an online discussion group accessible through the blog. A book, "12 Steps for Living Free," is in final editing and will be available as in ebook, print & audio versions. Seminars, workshops and retreats, local and regional support groups, and other audio and video support materials are in development.

Quantum Business Concepts, Inc. was formed as the umbrella corporation  that included Helvey Communications Group, The Comm Group and Oakhill Press. Helvey Communications Group was the independent audio and video production division of the business. The Comm Group was the video equipment brokering agency that provided professional video equipment to TV stations, independent video production houses and location video production trucks, among others, nationally. Oakhill Press was an independent trade book publishing business acquired in 1999 that specialized in publishing business and self-help books for professional speakers, trainers, consultants and facilitators. It provided national distribution through all major wholesalers, chain bookstores, independent bookstores and online booksellers including <a href="http://Amazon.com">Amazon.com</a>, <a href="http://bn.com">bn.com</a>, <a href="http://buy.com">buy.com</a> and others. The Comm Group went inactive in 2000, Helvey Communications Group and Oakhill Press went inactive in 2010. Helvey Communications Group changed its name to Oakhill Recordings and provided independent audio production services until November 2015. In 2010 the corporate identity changed to The Oakhill Group, LLC

Oakhill Recordings (part of The Oakhill Group, LLC) provided audio recording, production and voice-over services to a diverse client base. Services included: voice-overs, conference recording, location recording, sound effects and soundscape capture and creation, analog to digital conversion and restoration of old master tapes and phonograph records. All production was accomplished in the digital domain; available equipment included: 1/4" reel to reel (all professional and consumer formats), phonograph records, analog audio cassettes, digital audio tape (DAT), CDs, minidisk, hard drive and various forms of compact flash media.

Summit Productions, Inc. was a name change for Helvey Communications Group. The company was primarily an independent audio and video production company. During that time the SuccessTrax trademark and program that originated in 1981 as part of Selby Productions, Inc./National Cassette Services was sold to Syncom, Inc. and included a production contract to produce a new series of personal and professional development programs under the SuccessTrax brand.

Helvey Communications Group was the independent audio production business formed after leaving National Cassette Services, Inc. Symposium Tapes was also formed as another conference recording business specializing in recording conferences, symposiums and conventions, primarily in the health care marketing industry and providing on-site cassette duplication and delivery to individuals who were attending the various programs.The Symposium Tapes part of the business was merged into National Cassette Services, Inc. in 1987 to increase the overall capabilities and volume of business for both conference recording businesses. Helvey Communications Group became Summit Productions in 1989.

National Cassette Services, Inc. assumed the assets and client base of National Cassette Services that was originally created under Selby Productions, Inc. when it was merged with Industrial Electronic Systems. National Cassette Services, Inc. was a high-speed tape duplication, blank cassette loader, recording studio and conference recording business. I left the company in 1985 to become an independent audio producer. National Cassette Services, Inc. changed it's name to National Media Services, Inc. to reflect the changing media formats and is still located in Front Royal, Virginia

This company specialized in recording large scale meetings and rallies for multi-level marketing organizations and provided audio cassette duplication services and distribution of the programs to individuals throughout the U.S. The client base was broadened to include regional and national professional public speakers and the name National Cassette Services was used to create a better branding. This business merged with Industrial Electronic Systems in 1982 and assumed the name National Cassette Services, Inc. In 1981 Selby Productions, Inc. created the Leadership Audio Digest monthly, personal and professional development audio magazine distributed internationally on audio cassettes. The name of the program was changed in 1984 due to a potential trademark infringement and became SuccessTrax, which was trademarked and protected.

Provided products and services to government agencies (including the entire public service radio campaign for the 1976 U.S. Bicentennial Celebration), professional and trade associations, multi-national corporations, advertising agencies, educational and religious institutions, musicians, theaters, and others in the Washington, DC and mid-Atlantic region.

Served in the U.S. Air Force during the Vietnam era at Bolling AFB in Washington, DC under the Secretary of the Air Force Office of Information in the Command Services Unit. During my tenure as an enlisted personnel, I attained the rank of Staff Sergeant. My duties including writing scripts, interviewing interesting and important people about various U.S.A.F. missions, producing and engineering radio programs for internal and public dissemination and occasionally providing voice-overs for some programs. Some of the programs we produced included: "Serenade In Blue" featuring the USAF big band, the Airmen of Note and guest artists - this program was probably the most widely syndicated show of its time being played internationally on over 2,000 radio stations. Other shows included "It's Your Life," a medical and health related program for AF and other military personnel and "Air Force Weekly," a weekly AF news round-up for AF personnel stationed overseas. Additionally, I produced a couple special Christmas record albums distributed to the families of MIA's and POW's, a radio documentary on the history of the AF and a sound track used as part of a USAF exhibit at the Smithsonian Institution Air and Space Museum. I was awarded a Meritorious Service Medal on completion of my service with the USAF.

Location recording business located at various times in Clifton, NJ, Syracuse, NY, San Antonio, TX and Washington, DC. The business provided location recording and record production services for schools, colleges/universities, churches, community performing groups and independent artists on the Custom Fidelity label based in Pasadena, CA. Custom Audio Services also provided sound reinforcement services for touring concert performers and for a local cast of the original Up With People production that was very popular during the mid 1960's.
