Kate Georgen

Kate Georgen is a highly accomplished business attorney with extensive experience in private company legal issues. She specializes in a wide range of areas such as formation and growth, angel and venture capital financing transactions, domestic and cross-border mergers and acquisitions, and general business and contract matters. Her passion for social entrepreneurship has led her to be an active member of the Leadership Team for Harvard University's Social Enterprise Conference 2015.

Kate started her academic journey with a Bachelor's degree in History/Political Science, with Honors from Rutgers University-New Brunswick, then pursued a Doctor of Law degree (J.D.) from Cornell Law School. She is now admitted to practice in California, New York, and Massachusetts.

Kate has worked with many prestigious organizations throughout her career. She is currently associated with Wilson Sonsini Goodrich & Rosati, where she serves as an Associate Attorney. Prior to this role, she held Associate Attorney positions at Mintz Levin and Feinberg Hanson LLP. She also worked as an Independent Contract Attorney at Ropes & Gray LLP. Her experiences also include working as a Robert S. Summers Graduate Research Assistant at Professor Charles K. Whitehead, Cornell Law School, as a Legal Fellow at Cornell University Investment Office, and a Small Business Legal Fellow at Start Small Think Big, Inc.

In addition to her professional endeavors, Kate has volunteered with several institutions such as Vanderbilt Coalition for Healthy Aging as AmeriCorps Volunteer, Embassy of Jordan, Disability Law & Advocacy Center of Tennessee as a Public Policy Analyst & Program Coordinator, and the Columbia Center on Sustainable Investment as a Research Assistant.
