David Kimmel
David Kimmel is an accomplished business leader with a diverse background in hospitality, farming, and cannabis. He began his career developing and launching projects for some of the most prestigious companies and institutions in the world, including General Foods, The NY Museum of Modern Art, and The Culinary Institute of America. He then founded his own company, Caraway Associates, where he created projects for clients like Dick Clark Productions, Intercontinental Hotels, and IMAX Theaters.
Over the last decade, Kimmel has developed an in-depth understanding of the cannabis industry, studying active compounds, delivery systems, dosing protocols, and product development. He currently serves as Director of Business Development at Sanctuary Medicinals, a vertically integrated cannabis company operating in three states.
Kimmel is also an accomplished author and educator. He has lectured at The Culinary Institute of America, Fairleigh Dickinson University, and the Buenos Aires Food & Beverage Collaborativo, amongst others. He served as an adjunct professor at State University of New York for ten years, where he created the RCC Hospitality and Culinary Arts Center, located in the river town of Nyack, NY.
Outside of work, Kimmel has been actively involved in not-for-profit organizations, serving as Chairperson of Meals on Wheels and Vice-Chairperson for the Hudson Valley Children’s Museum.
